Snow in TX!

We had a WHITE Christmas in TX! Maybe we shouldn't have gotten rid of all those puffy coats, gloves, hats, shovels, and sleds! It was fun to see snowflakes falling on Christmas day and we got out the next day for some snowball fighting fun! And two days later it was gone :) And that's what I like about TX snow in one day gone the next...until next year. I can handle ONE snow a year, not 5 months of it!

Good thing this Jeep has 4WD!

Our 1st fire.
These are my favorite Christmas presents ♥♥♥
Grubes got Courtney an American Girl doll, she was sooooooo excited!
Meet Caroline!

Please pray for this group of Newtons. The month of December has brought far too much sickness in this house from ear infections, colds, stomach flu's, fevers, and bronchitis OH MY. We are sick and tired of being sick and tired. So hopefully the New Year will bring health and wellness to this Casa!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas filled with family, friends, and love. Ours was for sure!! My house is so sad now with no blown up air mattresses and family sleeping in every room :( We had the Cochrans visit on Christmas eve-eve and Nana, Pappy, Uncle Rick, and Aunt Shena came to stay on Christmas eve. We loved every second of it. Enjoy the pics.

Courtney and her cousin Carsyn having a bubble of a good time.

Newtons + Cochrans = One COOL gang!
Candy cane martini's on Christmas eve.
Spreading some food for the reindeer!
Making our Happy Birthday Jesus cupcakes. This is a tradition I started with the kids awhile back. Every Christmas we make a birthday cake and remind them of the true meaning of Christmas.
Snuggle time with Uncle Kool
Christmas morning... "I've always wanted one of these"!!!!
We did a $ dollar store gift swap, $1 max. The gifts were quite interesting...James got "sleeve tattoos".
Working hard! Yes he has clothes...No he does NOT wish to wear them ;)

9 Lives

The Newton family is SO SAD to say we have lost a very loving and purring part of our family this week. Petri passed away on Monday November 26th from stones in his kidneys and urethra. I apologize for the impersonal text I sent out to some of you, but it was just too hard to call anyone. It was a very sudden and unexpected loss and we are all a little shocked and very heartbroken. So since this is my blog I'm going to take a moment to pay tribute to "my first baby"and hope you all don't think I'm being a "crazy cat woman" ;) For those of you who have pets you understand, they are more than just a pet they are truly a part of your family.

I LOVE YOU PETE! YOU WERE THE BEST CAT EVER!
